Brothers Brett and Nathan Niebergall grew up in a home where healthy foods were always on the table. "Our parents were fairly strict about what we could eat at home. Junk food wasn't an option for us". Now living in San Francisco, the brothers soon realized that finding healthy, convenient and affordable food was a huge challenge for them. "We felt that other people out there might also be searching for similar food. We set out in chef coats with surveys to poll the general public." Once the results were in, the answer was very clear. People all over San Francisco were on a similar search fresh, healthy and gourmet cuisine.
With a combined thirty years of experience in the industry, Brett and Nathan Niebergall developed the Frisée concept to meet this unmet demand.
The daytime menu consists primarily of organic, gourmet entrée salads with deliciously slow roasted or grilled meats. Our house-made dressings, organic cheeses, fruits, vegetables and nuts perfectly compliment every menu selection. Each one, made fresh to order by classically trained chefs right in front of you or boxed up for guests on the go. In addition to extraordinary entrée salads, Frisée offers artisan cheese plates, hot or cold gourmet sandwiches, and low calorie house-made hearty soups.
The evening menu contains familiar healthy dishes with a gourmet touch. We use all natural beef and free range chicken. All of our seafood items are either farmed using sustainable methods or line caught and responsibly fished.
Because we try as hard as possible to use organic and local produce, our menu is heavily seasonal. We will always offer our core menu favorites, but be looking for new dishes that follow the seasons.
Our unique wine list boasts biodynamic and organic wines from regions such as Argentina, Northern Italy, Australia and France. Frisée's featured wines not only reflect a sense of place, but also provide a great value to the customer. Cheers!
